Girls Soccer: Lady Owls down Granbury in shootout (Posted 2/4/2010 12:03 pm)
After playing to a draw in regulation, Joshua’s girls soccer team upended Granbury in a shootout 3-2 to stay perfect in District 15-4A play.

Stephanie Nevels scored the match-winner in the fifth round of the shootout. Kaitlin Martindale, the Lady Owls shootout goalkeeper, stopped or denied three attempts by Granbury shooters.

“She just likes jumping in there,” said Joshua coach Jeffrey Brooks about using Martindale as a shootout keeper.
